Back in 2008, Nicholas Catering chose New Orleans Web Design Studio to construct and host an e-commerce website for their company and brand, Uncle T Cookies. Originally designed using a few product snapshots and a custom designed layout in Joomla, the website has evolved beautifully over the years.
Website Design & Development
We recently converted the website to the WordPress content management system and provided some fresh new features, such as a full width slideshow to showcase the detailed photos we shot. We added a Google map to the home page so customers know exactly where the cookies are made, which is very important to the client. We also simplified the colors of the site and also updated the logo so it uses the client’s original design with a modern touch.
In addition to the visual makeover we provided, we also made some major improvements on the backend. Switching to WordPress gave the client the tools needed to boost their social media presence. The plugins we added helped them control their search engine optimization and more easily maintain website orders.
We continue to host and maintain the Uncle T Cookies website as well as the Nicholas Catering website.
